Grand Rapids Food: A Culinary Revolution is a modern documentary that delves into the growing food movement in Grand Rapids.
The story, told by author Lisa Rose Starner, captures the essence of Grand Rapids and the rugged individuals who are tilling the soil, growing food and launching successful food businesses while powering community change — one garden, one backyard, one block, one store, one plate of food, cup of coffee and mug of beer at a time.
Join us to meet with Starner and talk about the book- have your copy signed in person.

A kiss means I love you,

a tug means let’s go!

"Harry Hopkins was FDR's left-hand man. He helped the maestro direct the American-British-Russian alliance that won World War II. David Roll shows just how he did it, this quiet deal-maker Churchill called 'Lord Root of the Matter.' The Hopkins Touch deserves its place aside Robert Sherwood's Roosevelt and Hopkins and Jon Meacham's Franklin and Winston." --Chris Matthews, host of "Hardball with Chris Matthews" on MSNBC
Loreen Niewenhuis will be with us for a reading/signing event to promote her new book, A 1000-Mile Great Lakes Walk. In Loreen's first book, A 1000-Mile Walk on the Beach she shared her adventure of walking the perimeter of Lake Michigan. Her latest trek took her along the shorelines of all five Great Lakes, putting in 15 miles a day for a total trip that lasted 64 days. Noreen will be happy to discuss her journey with you and answer any questions you may have regarding her trip.
Chef Jim Voltz will be here to introduce us to Simple Meals on the Porch, his fourth in a series of "On the Porch" cookbooks. Always a hit with delicious recipes and stories about friends who have been guests on Jim's porch, we look forward to the addition of this next cookbook.
